Qualifying Criteria
My Learning Studio OUTREACH (MLSO) offers tutoring for Kindergarten through 6th grade for reading comprehension and writing; and, Kindergarten through 9th grade for mathematics. This program is possible thanks to partnerships with local colleges and university's Federal work-study students.
To qualify for discounted tutoring, a person must meet at least one of the criteria below:
Low Income Family
If your income falls within the criteria below, you may qualify for FREE or Fee Reduced Tutoring.
If your gross yearly income, as verified on the previous year’s Federal Income Tax Return does not exceed the following amounts, you may qualify for $20.00 a session for private tutoring:
$39,440 for 2-person family $80,560 for 6-person family
$49,720 for 3-person family $90,840 for 7-person family
$60,000 for 4-person family $101,120 for 8-person family
$72,000 for 5-person family

Foster, Adopted, At-Risk or Court-Appointed Families
If you are foster, adopted, at-risk, or court-appointed, such as grandparent raising a grandchild, your family may qualify for aid. With proper documentation and approval, tutoring rates are as low as $22 a session.
FREE Tutoring
Periodically throughout the year, we offer FREE tutoring through various grants and sponsorships. If you would like to be placed on an interest list for FREE or discount tutoring, complete our registration form. Most of the programs do require you to qualify with the above criteria. Once we receive your inquiry, we will follow up concerning available programs.
My Learning Studio OUTREACH reserves the right to determine whether or not a family may receive discounted services based on the documents they bring in to determine eligibility or otherwise.
Families are required to reapply/update financial information yearly. It is the families responsibility to bring in their new taxes each year to update records.
Although a family or person may qualify for a discounted rate, My Learning Studio OUTREACH cannot guarantee availability for tutoring.
Discounted rates do not apply to the annual $49.99 family registration fee.
