Experience the revelry of Bourbon Street as My Learning Studio OUTREACH brings the magic of New Orleans to downtown Riverside with its 3rd Annual Pardi Gras Pub Crawl Fundraiser, on Friday, March 7, 2025. This year’s Pub Crawl will start and end at Loft 84, 3840 Lemon St., Riverside (5:15 p.m. check-in with a 6:00 p.m. start time and ending at 10:00 PM).
Pardi Gras promises to be a festive and lively evening of food and drink specials, beads, and all things Mardi Gras while raising funds for My Learning Studio OUTREACH, a 501c3 acclaimed for offering more than 7,500 hours of FREE and fee-reduced tutoring to at-risk Riverside County students.
We’re excited to announce that this year we are adding a Royal Court to the event! Several prominent community leaders are vying to be crowned King and Queen of Pardi Gras! The Royal Court will be announced soon. You will vote for your favorites by buying tickets, sponsorships, or donations. $1.00 equals one vote. “We wanted to bring a little piece of New Orleans to Riverside while raising funds to provide high-quality tutoring to those students who can’t afford it,” says Lorna Jenkins, Executive Director. “It’s an evening to come together as a community and have a great time while benefitting students who need extra academic support in order to succeed.” All participants must be 21+, ID's will be checked at participating venues.
Wear comfortable shoes and be prepared for the weather, as you never know what to expect in Southern California. Rain or shine we will carry on and sorry no refunds after purchase.
Your donations, sponsorships, and ticket sales help us add to our tab of over 7,500 hours of FREE and fee-reduced tutoring provided to Riverside County students and beyond who are low-income, foster, adopted, at-risk, and court-appointed. NOTE* Most of our court-appointed students are grandparents raising grandchildren or siblings raising siblings.

My Learning Studio OUTREACH (MLSO) was created by Lorna Jenkins when Riverside and surrounding areas were severely affected by the 2008 recession. Lorna's for-profit learning center, My Learning Studio was already established in the community and many people advocated for discounted tutoring due to job losses. Lorna could not turn away

Lorna could not turn away from the community in need, thus My Learning Studio OUTREACH was created.
MLSO provides private individualized tutoring to under-resourced students from Riverside and surrounding areas in all levels of mathematics, sciences, reading comprehension and writing.
MLSO's educational instructors are passionate, well-qualified, and come from a variety of backgrounds. All of our instructors go through an application process, training, and are strategically paired with each student.

Several MLSO staff members have personal experience with learning disabilities, allowing them to help students with a greater sense of empathy and understanding.

The purpose of this event is to bring together the Riverside Police Department and residents to inform the public about various community programs and heighten crime and drug prevention awareness.

This year’s Pub Crawl will start and end at Loft 84 (5:15 p.m. check-in with a 6:00 p.m. start time). Group leaders will guide you to five different bar locations for up to 35 minutes each, where you’ll meet new friends, and enjoy drink and food specials at each location.
For more than 17 years, since 2006, My Learning Studio has provided 1-on-1 private tutoring in Riverside for students in all academic subjects. This includes programs for adult learners, ESL students, students with special needs, and Home-Schoolers. We also offer test-taking, study skills, history, science, arts, crafts and enrichment, SAT, PSAT, ACT, ASVAB, and more. Our private tutoring rates can not be beaten.
